Meet the Magnificent Mutts of SAFE Class XVIII! This class is proving to be an outstanding one, and why not? Studies have shown that MUTTS (Mixed Uniquely, Terrifically Trained, at SAFE) are healthier, live longer, and are more intelligent than their purebred brothers and sisters. These dogs have been in training for only two weeks and are amazing their trainers with their grasp of commands and tricks. The dogs are neutered, housetrained, crate trained, able to walk on a loose leash, on flea/tick/heartworm preventative, and able to perform tricks. Their graduation date is June 13, 2014 and applications will be taken until May 30. Please go to safehavenky@gmail.com to request an application. The adoption fee is $150.00.
Hello, friends (and I include everyone as my friend, I have yet to meet a stranger!). I am Calvin, a three year old Beagle/ Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix. I was heartworm positive when I was accepted into SAFE and am now on the road to recovery thanks to some very (and I mean VERY) generous donors who paid for my treatment. My trainers say I am the friendliest dog ever and they let me make my rounds every morning to visit with the other inmates. I don't want to be braggy, but I am quite popular in the dorm. When I get tired, though, I am happy to go to my crate and relax. I can hold my bladder for a long period of time and I seldom bark. What can I say except that I am an awfully good boy!
