My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jimmy is the sweetest most affectionate quiet easy going gentleman who just wants to follow you around and lay at your feet. He had a rough month but nothing can keep his exuberant spirits down. TAPS became his guardian after getting a call from a local animal shelter that good samaritans brought him after he had been hit by a car. He was in too much pain to lay there for 5+ days waiting for his owner to come - so TAPS decided to pay for orthopedic surgery and have his broken pelvis and front leg fixed - so that he would not lay in pain. The owner never came. Jimmy has been with an amazing foster, who, thanks to his gentle rehabbing, Jimmy is healing remarkably well. Jimmy's ideal home would be on the quiet side, he is living with an older dog now that he gets along with great. He loves attention and likes being around people. He is a little shy in new situations, but once you let him know it is okay - he'll roll over for belly rubs. Jimmy may not be able to herd cattle like he probably could before his injury, but he can certainly give someone a lifetime of love. Jimmy weighs approximately 38 pounds.
