I am a 1-year-old female Maltipoo. I weigh about 12 pounds. If you're looking for a travel partner, I am the perfect size! I'd probably fit great in a stroller or under the seat of a plane. I'm a very sweet, gentle little girl! I can be a little nervous when put in new situations, but I open up pretty quickly. I'm a happy, loving, calm pup with a heart of gold! Life has been a little rough for me lately. My sibling and I were living with our previous owners when one day they decided that they didn't want us anymore. We found ourselves on our way to a local high-kill shelter. Thankfully, when we got there some volunteers talked our owners into holding on to us until a rescue could be located. That's how I ended up at CageFree. I had only been here for a few days when my friends started to notice that something was wrong. I was having a lot of diarrhea and throwing up. They sent me to the vet to find out what was going on. Turns out I had Parvo. Apparently my previous owners never vaccinated me and I ended up coming in contact with the virus. I was immediately sent to the emergency vet where I was given medication and put on observation. The good news is within just 3 short days I had already turned around. No more diarrhea or vomiting! My doctors gave me the 'all clear' and I was able to go back to CageFree. I still have to be isolated from the rest of the dogs for now, but soon I'll be able to join all my friends on the playground. You'll be glad to know that I have put my past behind me and I am now looking forward to a very bright future. I can't wait to find my new forever home where I will be loved and cared for.
