Autumn's Story...
If you are looking for a Golden Girl….Autumn is your dog. She enjoys a walk, not a sprint. Autumn does not bark or react to other dogs, and generally takes direction well on leash.
In play group, she tends to be more sedate than the other "littles", but gets along well with everyone in the group, including the volunteers.
Berkeley Animal Cares Services (BACS) is working on her dental and eye issues.
If you are a fall person, start the season early and adopt our little Autumn.

Act quickly to adopt Autumn. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Autumn, a Berkeley Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
