Sylvia's Story...

Hi, my name's SYLVIA and I am ADORABLE. I am more medium-haired than long-haired and I do love to be brushed. I like to play, too, especially with things on strings. My favorite thing is petting, and I will roll onto my back and purrrrrr. I am a petite sweetie and full of kisses. A typical Calico, I am a bit of a princess and also very loving and affectionate. I have a cute little meow and will carry on a conversation with you. I don't mind another laidback cat or two as long as they let me be in charge. Gentle older kids would be nice, and I can put up with a quieter dog who pretends I'm invisible. I will do best in a low to moderate-activity home. ** Come see me at the Naperville PETCO (348 S. Rt. 59, near Arby's)!

** Adoption hours are 1-4:00 on weekends at all locations, or by appointment. To make an appointment or for more information, call PURRS at 630-815-4520 -- or email

** All PURRS' cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLeuk tested, wormed, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvia, a Hillside Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Hillside, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Hillside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillside paves the way for another one to be saved.
