Cuddy's Story...
Meet Cuddy! She's an adorable pitbull/hound mix who came to us after her owners moved and couldn't bring her along. We've found this beautiful girl to be extremely intelligent and feel that she will be the star of any manners or agility class she's in. She already knows: "sit" - "shake" - "stay" - "come" - and "down," and is already housebroken and used to being in a crate. Pretty much the perfect package! Cuddy would prefer to be the only dog in the home. We're not sure how she is with cats, but we're happy to test her here at the shelter if you have a feline at home. Middle school aged kids and older should be just fine with sweet Cuddy, and she'd really love a family with a lot of energy or a nice yard to romp around in. Come in and meet this awesome pup - she's a catch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cuddy, a Ithaca Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Ithaca, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Ithaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ithaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ithaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ithaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
