Barbie's Story...
Name: Barbie
Color: Brown and Black Tabby
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
Gender: Female
Age: 6 months
Barbie is an active, in your business kind of girl looking for a loving forever home. She was surrendered with a dozen other cats and really wants a family who will take care of her like she deserves. She is available for adoption at Whatcom Humane Society.
Big fan of: Barbie is the kind of kitty who will make everything a toy, so providing her with lots of fun toys that are appropriate to play with will help keep her out of things that aren't meant to be toys. She would really appreciate daily play time as well as she is so young. She just can't help her energy!
Dream Home: Barbie wouldn't mind living with a mellow male feline that will play with her but let her be in charge. She would also likely adjust to a very mild-mannered canine that won't chase her. Barbie would prefer that any children in her home be over 8 and will respect her desire not to be carried around. Living indoors with a family will take some getting used to as she is currently unaccustomed to the sounds inside.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barbie, a Bellingham Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
