Brianna's Story...
Name: Brianna
Color: Brown and Black Tabby
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Female
Age: 1 year
This lovable girl is Brianna and she is looking for her loving forever home. She came to us along with over a dozen other cats so she has had a bit of a rough start in life. Despite her humble beginnings she wants nothing more than to be loved. Brianna is still adjusting to an indoors life and can be intimidated by all the unfamiliar stimuli but despite this adjustment she is a very sweet girl. She is available for adoption at Whatcom Humane Society.
Dream Home: She would be happy to go to a home with a mellow male cat who can keep her company. Brianna would prefer a home without any dogs but could probably adjust to a cat-savvy dog who knows not to chase her. Older children or an adult only home is also preferable given her shy disposition.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brianna, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
