Up for adoption is German Shepherd Dog "Damien Von Dusenberg."

Damien is a BIG boy. He has a massive 100+ pound build and looks like he could pull a freight train. He shows excellent confirmation and has classic black and tan markings. He is aloof but friendly towards people and selective towards other dogs. Vet estimates his age at 1 1/2 years so he is still a growing pup. He seems fine with children. However, we do not recommend he be placed with very young children due to his size and strength.

Like all German Shepherds, Damien will require both physical and mental activity on a daily basis. Continued training is essential. He will need someone experienced with German Shepherds or other large breeds to bring out his potential. He is an excellent candidate for Obedience, Rally, Agility, hiking companion or most excellent foot warmer. Damien is currently living in a home environment and receives training on a daily basis. He is well mannered in the house. No destructive or separation issues. He calm, submissive and affectionate to his pack leader. Caesar Milan would be proud. Damien must be an indoor dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Damien von Dusenberg, a Phoenix German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
