Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update: Embry is a young girl over a year old now who had a very rough start. It is unclear whether she had any human interaction (or at least a positive relationship) until being rescued by SIAR. She has learned to trust those people she knows. When in a foster home, she was quite cuddly & even a bit demanding for attention from her bonded family. Embry gets along with all dogs and seems fine with cats. Boisterous children or frequently changing visitors may frightened her. This gorgeous, showy pooch would do best in a home with a regular routine that included many excursions to continue her socialization and confidence development. Well-mannered, she is tidy & polite and walks well on leash.
Embry is a beautiful chow pup looking for her perfect home! She is about 9-10mos old and around 35lbs or so....what a great size! Embry isn't your typical chow...she is quite a character and loves loves loves to run and play! She thinks fetch is super fun as well as splashing around in the doggy pool and biting at the hose. Embry is a very bouncy girl and her most perfect home would be one with another playful pooch that likes to wrestle and place chase. She is still a bit mouthy (will nip at you in play) so would do best in a home with older kids, or perhaps an adult only home.
She should grow out of this phase so a very dog savvy family who is ready to work with her on this might do ok even if they have younger kids. Embry is not a barker, doesn't seem to be destructive...she will bark as a protector but not just for no reason. She is friendly towards all the people she has met..she might be shy for a few minutes, but give her some time and her happy bouncy personality will come out :) Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
