Precious's Story...
My name is Precious and I am shy at first but very lovable. I have had a hard time, I was relinquished back to the rescue after my owner gave me up because of the costs of tests given at her vets office. There was something wrong with me and they ran a bunch of test. When I was returned to the rescue I was taken to the rescue vet and a couple of tests were run and I was found to have a major hairball going on. Since I am a long haired cat it was not unusual. I am now on special hairball food and have been back in the rescue for over 9 months and have not had another issue. I do require daily brushing and my special food which can be bought at any petstore. If you are interested in me please call the rescue at 240-818-3688.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Precious, a Frederick Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
