I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Sam's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sam's Story...
This is Sam. He is a senior beagle looking for a new home. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He has had trouble with his back knees. We feel this is arthritis most likely and can be helped with some supplements. He really likes getting outside and walks but can really only handle short walks. He is very laid back about everything and like all beagles loves to eat. Other than spending time in the yard and going for walks, he spends most of his day sleeping or resting. He is friendly and loves attention. He has not lived with other pets or children, but he has spent time around both. He is friendly to both children and other pets, but does not like his legs touched, again we feel meds can help with any chronic pain. Very sweet guy though who needs a nice home to retire to. Email us about Sam!

Contact Mindy at mmiller@beaglebuddies.org to obtain an application. Submit the application form and we will schedule a time to meet the pet. If interested in adopting we require a home visit and an adoption agreement with a fee. Our adoption fees are $100 if over 5 years, $125 if younger than 5 years but older than 1 year, and $175 if younger than 1 year. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, are up to date on vaccinations, and a copy of vet records is provided upon adoption to set up a file at your vet. We supply collar, temporary ID tag until you can use till you get one, and leash. All beagles are micro-chipped as well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Indianapolis Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
