Ernie got his name because he is a polydactyl cat, also known as a Hemingway cat which Ernest Hemingway owned. He is a playful, busy boy that enjoys playing with anything that moves. He loves to play with the resident cats and dog at his foster home, but may be too much energy for a laid back or timid cat. He loves to run around the house chasing balls and feather toys, he is great at entertaining himself when his foster family is busy. After running off some energy, he loves to lounge around on the stairs or even in the middle of the floor. He has his own room where he sleeps at night with a cat perch that he loves to sit on and just watch the world outside, especially the squirrels and birds. When he is all tuckered out he enjoys pets from his foster mom and purrs like crazy.

Adoption Fees: All of our cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated (as age appropriate), tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV, given flea/tick & heartworm preventative, & fecal tested (dewormed if needed) before being adopted out. Ernie's adoption fee is $100 including tax; adoptive homes are given all vet records at the adoption.
