Nyla - ADOPTED!!'s Story...
Nyla is a Pug/Dachshund (mix), that has a black & tan short coat. Our veterinarian puts her birth date at 8/2/11 - her current weight is 20 lbs. Nyla came to us mid-January, 2014 - very pregnant with 3 bouncing boys!!! Her duties as a Mom have come to an end & Nyla is hoping for a home of her own. She is very sweet & loving - she warms up to female humans first, then male humans, taking a bit more time with the men to establish the "trust factor". Nyla loves being with women & older kids - belly rubs will bring joy to her little heart! She is crate trained & house trained. Her preference could be as an only dog. She truly loves people who are gentle & kind to her - so loyal - if she has your heart, she will love you forever! She really is an excellent "watch dog". One of her joys at the shelter is her nice fluffy dog bed. Nyla's $150. Adoption Fee is quite inclusive - she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, tested negative for Heartworm Disease plus current on monthly heartworm/flea/tick preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nyla - ADOPTED!!, a Hawk Point Pug/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Dachshund for sale in Hawk Point, or seeking a Pug/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Hawk Point.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hawk Point already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hawk Point breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Dachshund breeders who help with Pug/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hawk Point paves the way for another one to be saved.
