Checkers is a male Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu mix only 2 years of age. He has truly unique and stunning black and white coloring. Checkers has one adorable black ear and one white. His body is all black and white speckles. He is one cute puppy! Checkers has been professionally groomed and his coat is currently cut quite short. His fur will grow long and curly if allowed. He is non-shedding and hypoallergenic. Checkers is a happy go lucky kind of guy, excellent with everyone he meets. He is good with other dogs, but its people he adores. Checkers has a perky, cute way about him and is easy to handle. He walks nicely on leash and is a good boy out in public. He is not a vocal dog and definitely prefers pampering and being the center of attention in the family. Checkers is good with children and with cats as well. He has a fun, bubbly way about him. Checkers is playful somewhat with toys, but doesn't seem to have much interest in playing with other dogs. He truly just likes to hang out with the family, maybe go for a walk or for a trip to the park. He rides nicely in the car. Checkers was brought in to a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where we rescued him. He is one of a kind for sure! Checkers is very healthy and looking for his new forever home today!
Checkers’ adoption donation is $400 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
