Odin's Story...
Here is one of our Newest Fosters having a great time with the Foster Family his name is Oden and he is 2 yrs old and has lived most of his life in a crate and now learning how to live with out one. He loves other dogs, and people and is HIGH energy, he will need someone who is willing to train him, work with him on manners, and help him live the dream. He was just neutered and is he's healing nicely from his neutering..and I'm beginning to see the newf in him..when he arrived he was pacing, nervous from being kenneled too long..he now sleeps soundly and even snores..he now has freedom inside and out, sleeps where he wants to and is beginning to play with his toys..he loves the dehydrated meat I make and his commands are improving..he always had great recall, but sit was for less than a nano second and down was non existent..more later

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Odin, a Silverthorne Newfoundland dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland for sale in Silverthorne, or seeking a Newfoundland dog from a breeder in Silverthorne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Silverthorne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Silverthorne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland breeders who help with Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Silverthorne paves the way for another one to be saved.
