My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alexis is one of the cutest pups ever and about a year and a half old! She is so very sweet and was very bonded to her sister Allie who was recently adopted. Because of that bond, we feel Alexis will need to be adopted into a home with another canine sibling. She can be timid with new people but when we went to take photos, she warmed up to us very quickly and wase playful, fun and gave lots of kisses!

Her siblings all have been adopted and are doing wonderfully, but they almost all share the same trait of disliking being crated. Alexis does best when she is in a "doggy proof" area with her other canine buddies.

Alexis is full grown at about 20-25 lbs (Mom was a medium size lab and Dad was reportedly a yorkie). Her cute wiry hair and beard remind us of schnauzers. Adorable!

We think Alexis would be too skittish with little kids but older respectful kids who let the her do the initiation of attention would be great.

Alexis has cats in her foster home which she ignores. A ferret got loose one day and she just watched it walk by. There are also birds which she doesn't mind at all.

Endless kisses is what you will receive if you have room in your heart and home for this little cutie!

To apply to adopt this dog, please check out our application at www.luckypuprescue.org.

Please note: We do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Thank you for considering rescue!

Alexis is fostered in Cumberland County, Maine while she waits to find her perfect forever family!
