Boomer's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Boomer's Story...
Boomer is a 4.5 year old neutered male Sheltie whose owner recently died and the wife is not able to handle a young dog. He is UTD on all vaccinations, is heartworm tested and has been on Heartguard (last dose 4/27/14). Boomer weighs 33 lbs and he is good with other animals and people. He is still nervous about his new surroundings and acts a bit mistrustful, but is warming up swiftly in his foster home. He will need a fenced yard.
There is no adoption fee for Boomer, but a donation to Friends is always appreciated and much needed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer, a Quincy Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Quincy, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Quincy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Quincy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Quincy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Quincy paves the way for another one to be saved.
