Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Josie is a young cat, likely about a year old, who came to us shortly after she had her first litter of kittens. They are now weaned and Josie is ready for a loving furrever home. Josie is a sweet and loving cat, that gets on great with other cats, dogs and kids and is used to noise and a busy home.
The story of how Josie and her kittens came to us:
A kind lady in Elkins found a homeless mother cat and her four newborn kittens in her shed. She took them to the Elkins City Hall and turned them over to the Elkins Police Department. For a week, they stayed with the Elkins PD, who kept them fed, warm and safe. But no one came to claim them, and as kind and caring as the city employees and officers were, City Hall could not be a home for this new mother and her babies much longer. A Pets Alive Northwest Arkansas board member who happened to be visiting City Hall spoke with Chief Rhodes and Sgt. Reed of the Elkins Police Deaprtment, who told her about the little family in their care and the urgent need to find a safe place for them to go, and after some emails and phone calls, this sweet little family came to us.
