My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you ever seen a mop run across the floor by itself?

When the foster Moms first saw Elliott at the shelter, that's what it looked like. Matted , dirty and tangled, afraid of people and isolated, this little guy was not happy.

The first foster Mom saw Elliott and he was very shy and standoffish with her. A couple of days later, another foster Mom tried her hand with Elliott and it was like he know her all along!. If hearts could appear in a dog's eyes, they appeared in Elliott's. Elliott sniffed her hand and was very happy. She sat down and he ran and jumped up on a little table next to her. She brought out a little food and he took it from her hand. He had her !

Elliott had to be groomed by a professional groomer so we could see more of that adorable face underneath that mop-hair.

Elliott is now in a foster home with a mom, 2 black labs and a rabbit. Elliott was introduced to the alpha and he knew he should behave himself. Then Elliott met Shadow, the second in command at the foster house...Elliott knew Shadow was the player! A yard is never big enough when you have a couple of playing dogs in it. Elliot is now walking with the pack (his 20 steps to the labs 2 steps)
And beside walking, Elliott has swimming on his agenda for this week..he's a pretty busy guy.

Elliott does take a little time to warm up to people but he had a pretty rough start.
Elliott is better with teens and larger dogs. Little children scare him and Elliott wants to be the boss with other small dogs. He does get along with cats too.

Elliot is a 5 year old Shih Tzu mix, 11 pounds, UTD on vaccinations, housebroken, neutered, micro chipped.
