My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parker is amazing beautiful soul. He's only 2 1/2 but has the demeanor of a wise man. He was left at North Central Shelter by his family. They said he wasn't dog friendly but as the pictures and video demonstrate- that is not the case.
He was rescued October 2013 and needed some time to help him build up some confidence and trust. He has just blossomed and is ready to find his Furever home. He is a lovely gentleman.

He's a funny guy: he talks and it can take a little time to understand what he is saying. He gets along with all his foster buddies but is defensive around the dominant breeds and will growl at them but then play fine with them at the park.
He is not a leader and will rely on you for leadership and if you have another dog- he loves them but they can't be aggressive. Alpha is fine.

True to his breed- he's a shedder (: but has the nicest fine coat and the most soulful eyes and cute pink nose that you won't mind. He has a best friend at his foster home- a rat terrier mix. It would be beyond awesome if they were adopted together but not required or necessary. Just saying that life is great when you have 2-3 dogs!

You must have a gentle but firm demeanor for this guy. He responds well when you ask him or command him with respect. No barking orders at this smart and sensitive guy.
