My name is Montana and I am a 1.5-year-old, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and all the Volunteers think that I am very mild mannered and lovable. I recently got my walking papers from the commercial breeder where I was born and have lived my entire life. I may be a bit unsure at first since I'm still figuring out this whole freedom thing; now that I know what human attention feels like, I crave it. In fact, I may even be considered a bit too needy. I'm quite curious about what it is that you humans do all day, so I like to follow you around a lot to see what's happening. I need a patient and experienced guardian who will help me to become independent so that my neediness does not develop into separation anxiety I can’t wait to start leash training which will prepare me for nice walks with my human. I am really curious and love the outdoors with all its fabulous spring time smells. I'm making great progress but will still require acceptance and lots of love in my forever home. Of course, you must help me with potty training as I have never learned what that’s all about. A fenced yard is required to keep me safe. I simply need a safe home with an understanding family that will let me adjust in my own time. I would be a magnificent forever companion and can't wait to share all my unconditional love.
