Ginger's Story...
Hello! My name is Ginger! I'm a two year old Chi mix and a very well behaved girl. At first when you meet me I can be a little shy but give me a day or two to get used to you and I will curl up in your lap and ask for kisses. People tell me I am a very pretty girl with a beautiful red fur coat... I don't like to brag but I am pretty special looking! I'm not super rambunctious, so if you like quiet time...I'm the dog for you! :-) I get along with all the dogs here so if you could give me a brother or sister I'd be excited! Thanks for your time, I hope you can come and meet me, my ID number is A3447795.

After some time in Chi Town, I am currently at the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, East Shelter at 2630 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Mesa 85201.
Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon-Fri and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat and Sun.

Check out the rest of my adoptable friends on Facebook at "Chi Town"!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Phoenix Chihuahua/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Corgi for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Chihuahua/Corgi dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Corgi breeders who help with Chihuahua/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
