Hiya, I’m Koji! (pronounced Koe-Gee) Well, that is my name for now anyway. I’m a chiweenie from a shelter in River Rouge. I’m the new guy in town here at NBS Animal Rescue, and I am ready to run and play with anybody who wants to! Wahoo! Running around is one of my favorite things to do, ever! I also know “sit” and can “sit pretty” (check out my photos), am good on a leash, am crate trained, pottie trained, and I only bark to let you know someone is at the door. My foster parents think it’s funny, because sometime I “sing along” to the radio –but it has to be the right song, ya know?
Did I mention I am good with other dogs, and kitties too? I like to chase them, but I can’t figure out why they don’t want to chase me back. I keep trying to play with her, but she doesn’t know what to do. For the most part, I can even entertain myself with a squeaky toy or a good bone. After a long day of being cute, guarding the yard from squirrels and birds – I really love to be held. You can carry me anywhere you’d like –even to bed. I love to just snuggle up and snooze. I’m looking for a home that will love me forever, and appreciate my spunky personality. Could that be with you?

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.
