My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Look at Dakota airborne while playing fetch, her most favourite past-time, other than snuggling up close with her people. You wouldn't be able to guess her age other than the few grey hairs (don't tell her but she's 7 years old, she just doesn't know it). The motto "you are as old as you feel" is exactly how Dakota is, she is the encompassment of being young at heart. This beautiful girl is ready to go anytime you are and is always up for an adventure running and playing around in the fields, going for walks, hikes, and swimming, yet she calms right down quickly and simply hangs out quietly in the home chewing on her toys. Some of her favourite things are giving and getting affection, playing fetch, wagging her little nub a millions miles per minute, snuggling with her stuffed toys, and eating lettuce. Dakota is so loving and loyal, that she doesn't need to be on leash (in a safe area) and always come running when called. Her recall is phenomenal. Even though her recall is fantastic, she doesn't tend to stray anyways, she is always close by choice.

While Dakota loves to play one-on-one, she also enjoys to play with other dogs. She can be a bit of a rough player, so another male dog that is patient and stable enough to handle that sort of play is best for her. Dakota currently lives with all sizes of dogs, from small to extra large and she is fine with all of them. While Dakota is good with dogs, she is very fixated on cats and would be in her best interest to live in a dog only home. Since Dakota is a rough player and can be exuberant, a home with older children or teenagers would be the best fit for all. Dakota is fully housetrained and crate trained and will go into her crate without fuss.

Why this little girl hasn't been scooped up is beyond me. Dakota will make a great addition to any home.
