Gordie's Story...
Hi there, my name is Gordie. What's yours? I see you're looking to adopt a dog - well if a dachshund is what you're looking for....maybe I'm the one for you?

I am 2 years old and weigh about 12lbs. I am not really sure what else to tell ya - it's not polite to talk about ones self but I'll certainly try. I'm pretty easy going, I do get along well with the other dogs. I will occasionally play, but am pretty happy cuddling next to you with a nylabone or other healthy chew. I don't really know how I would be with kids or cats.

So if you're interested in adopting an easygoing, low-to-medium energy dachshund, I might just be for you! Please send an email to calicanrescue@gmail.com and the people at CaliCan Rescue will arrange to do a Phone Interview.

My adoption fees are $280 and covers my neuter, vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, microchipping, all vet visits, and my transport to Canada!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gordie, a Edmonton Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
