Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pepper is a beautiful and smart Australian Shepard mix. She is coming back into rescue after 3 years because she and the new baby are not buddies. Pepper is a terrific medium size at 54 pounds She is very friendly and aims to please, she is great at reading people's body language and will try to make you happy. She is about 10 years old and has not had any health problems. She rarely barks, she doesn't chew things or like chew toys. She has never had an accident either! She is crate trained, but never uses one because her family trained her not to go on the couch and she has never ruined or gotten into anything. She is great on a leash and loves going for walks, she tires out pretty quickly if running, however. She enjoys people, only gets nervous around very large men with big beards. She is scared of loud noises such as fireworks, thunder, and sometimes the opening of fruit (strawberry) cartons. She will want to be near you when she hears these sounds. She has no separation anxiety. She gets along with cats, other dogs, and children, she doesn't like it when they pull on her fur and will stay away (I don't blame her). She can be a little hunter, once on a walk she caught a chipmunk! Her mom got it out unhurt ; 0 )
Pepper loves the snow and will catch snowballs and jump in snow piles. She does great on car rides...will sit and stay in whatever seat you tell her to stay in. She likes to take a bath, and loves having attention from her humans.
To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org, or request an application via email, luckypuprescue@yahoo.com.
Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
