My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello wonderful people. My name is Ranger and I am 1/2 Golden Retriever and 1/2 Great Pyrenees. I am a big, big boy weighing 89 pounds and the doc said I could stand to gain a lot more. I am 4 years old and as calm as a cucumber. I was taken to a Kentucky shelter for killing chickens. I guess the Golden side of me kicked in and I thought I was suppose to retrieve. Well, it got me in trouble. Anyway, I am healthy despite a little tick borne disease called Ehrlicha. I am little shy and timid BUT I do like human attention and the people taking care me say I am very sweet. My ideal home would have no small children or no small critters, especially the kind that you can chase. I do well with other dogs (really like my foster bro) I am learning how to walk on a leash because that whole concept is new to me seeing that I lived on a farm and had free range. I just need a family that can show me the ropes of being a dog, not a farm dog, but a really cool dog that gets to sleep inside, snuggle on the couch and chase tennis balls instead of chickens. Love, Ranger.
