Chocolate's Story...
Meet Chocolate! Chocolate is a two year old girl who is looking for her forever home! Chocolate did not have the best start to life. She lived with someone who unfortunately used her as a "breeding" cat. They would let her have multiple litters of kittens. Finally Chocolate was surrendered to our shelter, where she was spayed and finally had a chance to live a normal life. Chocolate is a total sweetheart. She practically starts purring as soon as she sees people. Chocolate loves attention and to be pet. She's also super cute! Chocolate would do well with other cats or children. Chocolate has lived a very uncomfortable life until now and it's finally her time to be loved and cared for. She deserves a forever home, and we won't rest until she finds it!

We Spay/Neuter all of our cats and they receive the necessary medical care including Rabies, Three Distemper vaccines, De-worming, De-fleaing, Microchipping, and Testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Care for Animals is located at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during hospital hours. Our hours are Monday 8-7, Tuesday — Thursday 8-5 and Friday 9-3. We’re also happy to set up weekend appointments.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chocolate, a Warwick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Warwick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
