My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carina - A perfect name for a beauty like me. I have so many things to tell - I was a stray that was picked up and placed in a shelter. I was taken to a high-kill shelter and I just knew my days were numbered, if you know what I mean. Thankfully, my angel appeared and took me out of that horrible and scary place. THANK YOU to ‘Shaggy Dog Rescue’. I am a beautiful sweet loving girl (my beautiful eyes will make you melt). I live with my human foster parents and my foster siblings (dogs, cats and a cockatoo). I do show interest in the cats (I bark at them for a second or two) but my foster mom doesn't think I would ever harm them. I haven’t been around small children since I was rescued so my foster mom isn't sure how I would act around them. When I first came to my foster home I was so frightened . I wouldn't get close to my foster family. After a couple of days I started to let my foster mom pet me, but if she made any quick movements it really scared me. I didn't eat much when I first came here, but that has sure changed. Oh, how these humans can make the best meals! When I came in the house I would run straight to my crate. I just felt so safe there. Well, that was last week and now that I’m going on week two I have really changed, for the better of course. I am crate trained and sleep in my crate all night long. When my foster parents are gone during the day we all stay in our crates. My foster mom works part-time so we’re never crated very long during the day which is a good thing. Us furkids need plenty of outside/inside/playtime during the day. I love to lay in the den and watch TV with everyone and I’m such a lady. I’m quiet and I love to sit next to my foster Dad’s chair and let him pet me. If he’s not available, there’s always my foster mom. I’m excellent on a leash and do enjoy walks. I have
beautiful soft reddish brown fur. Oh, I forgot to mention, I’m potty trained as well and when it’s time for a car ride I jump right in.
