Muffett's Story...
SANCTUARY OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Hi! I'm Muffet, a 12-year-old sweet girl in early stage renal failure, so I need to eat renal diet and have subcutaneous fluids administered twice weekly. I AM SUPER SWEET, and I don't stop purring. I love to snuggle and "make biscuits". I am good with kids, and not too sure about other kitties but will tolerate other mellow kitties and seems to chill given time with them. She would be an amazing cat for someone who is looking for a sweet companion who needs a little extra TLC. Being on kidney maintenance like this can help me live many more comfortable, high quality years, and I am hoping to find someone who will love me for the rest of my life while Young at Heart pays for my medical bills. If you are interested in becoming a sanctuary home, please email Jen at foster@adoptasenior

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Muffett, a Palatine Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
