Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ernie was rescued in March 2012, when he was about 6-8 weeks old. We think Ernie is a Newfoundland/Lab mix and weighs 82 lbs. Very easy to housetrain, He has never had an accident in the house. He is neutered, current on shots and always had excellent vet care. Ernie is very intelligent and LOVES human companionship. His favorite things are to be kissed on the head, petted, and have his chest rubbed when he is lying on his back. He was raised with a lot of love and affection. Licking the bottom of the yogurt cup after you are done is a treat for him. Ernie has always slept in the house in a chair or on the couch. When the weather is warm he sleeps on the floor or in his dog bed. He has never chewed up furniture or anything in the yard. Also, Ernie is not a jumper, but if you have been gone for a while, he will be glad to see you. He wants to be where you are. If you are inside the house, he wants to be inside with you. Ernie has always been in a large fenced-in yard where he can run and play. He knows nothing about cars or trucks and needs to be protected from running in the road. A good guard dog, he will let you know when someone is around your house. He’s a wonderful companion dog for someone who can handle a larger dog. Very socialized, but he needs a home without smaller breed dogs and that’s why he needs a new home now. He just doesn’t tolerate the little dogs bothering him. If you are looking for a faithful companion please consider Ernie for your next dog. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
