Chloe's Story...
Chloe is an adorable 2 3 year old basset girl from the St. Tammany, LA shelter. She is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. She is great with all people and dogs. She is housebroken and good on a leash. Our adoption fee is $300. We check vet references and do home visits prior to an adoption. Chloe is now in a foster home. She is a calm basset. Please email QueenB534@aol.com for more information.

Chloe is currently in a foster home in CT.

From a LBR volunteer who has spent time with Chloe:

Chloe is probably the sweetest, most gentle basset I've ever met. She's a little
shy when she meets someone new but quickly becomes your new best friend. She's
small, quiet and reserved, and seems to be very loving and affectionate. She
walks well on a leash and enjoys being outside for walks but also likes to sit
right at the feet of her human friends. She seems to be fine with other dogs and
with cats. She would do best with someone who can give her a lot of love and
attention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Folsom Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Folsom, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Folsom.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Folsom already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Folsom breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Folsom paves the way for another one to be saved.
