Nita's Story...
The volunteers tell me I'm a strikingly beautiful, petite girl. They say hounds like me get adopted really quickly. YAY! During morning turnout, I love getting back rubs from the volunteers when I'm not chasing a fuzzy toy. As much fun as that is, I'm looking forward to living in a house instead of a cage. From what I hear, I will move into a foster home on May 24th. That won't be in time for my birthday, but maybe my forever family will host a belated birthday party for me with dog bone party favors. I think I'd like to invite Noodle and Dazzle. They're a hoot!

Nita is 2. Her small dog and cat status is unknown. She will be available soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nita, a Tucson Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
