If you haven't read about "Black Dog Syndrome" please go to www.pinkshelter.com and click on the "Why Rescue" tab to learn why the chance of Chocolate being adopted is so slim, even though Chocolate actually looks like she's been gently dusted with chocolate (and she's just as sweet!). Chocolate is the last remaining sister of a litter of pups born to a Boxer mom. (She had some non-black sisters who have been adopted and their families will be happy to speak with anyone about their temperaments!) She has spent nearly her whole life at the shelter greeting newcomers and wagging her tail goodbye as they've all found their homes. She loves body hugs, leaning right into you just to make you know how much she wants to be with you. Chocolate is not quite a year old, she is very healthy -- all she needs is that one special person who can see past Black Dog Syndrome and recognize the golden temperament inside this super sweet girl. (She even likes face painting!!) There's nothing that would make us happier than Chocolate beating the odds and getting a home of her own, other than the shelter for life.
