Pixie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Pixie's Story...
Pixie is approximately 2 years old. She is a tortoise shell. She is spayed, up to date with all her shots and FIV and feline leukemia negative. She is small, weighing less then 8 lbs.

When Pixie's owner was evicted from her house, she threw Pixie outside during one our February snow storms. Luckily for Pixie, the neighbors found her under a car before she froze. Pixie is shy. She prefers to curl up on the couch alone or bird watch from a window. She is a typical tortoise in that she is aloof and prefers to be away from the other cats. Pixie would do best as the only cat or with another independent cat in the house.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Hamilton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
