My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

M, 3 Years, Akita Mix, 60 lbs.

Hi all! Are you one of those “the glass is half-full” beings? Well, I am too! No matter what, I tend to look on the bright side of things. I was left to starve by the side of the road, was taken in by a vet who fed me but didn’t address my medical needs, and then I arrived at Maxfund-20 lbs. underweight and needing medical attention. My skin was in horrible shape and it was found I was hypothyroid, but boy, you ought to see me now! I am dashingly handsome, always loving, well mannered, and the most loyal pal you’ll ever meet…

Despite my neglectful care previous to MaxFund, I remain a dog with wonderful character! I'm extremely friendly, affectionate, and can just go with the flow. Whether you want to race and play or just sit and cuddle, I’m your dog! I absolutely ADORE everyone and everything. I get along perfectly with other dogs, cats, and kids. You know what they say, the more the merrier!

I’ve been in a foster home for about a month and a half now with three other dogs and three cats (Boy, talk about sharing!) and am getting along just fine. I’m house-trained and I love to race and play in the backyard or go for rides in the car (I even learned to open the window!), but I really want a forever home where I can stay forever with a true family.

I am the epitome of a "diamond in the rough!" and I want to meet you! I may take a little time to be ready for a full adoption because I’m getting a little attached but like I said I’m still looking for my forever home! Do you want to meet me too? Contact Nancy and Bri nkuck@hotmail.com. You certainly will NOT be disappointed!
