Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Carly is a 40 pound terrier mix, about 2 years old. She is a sweet girl who gets along with everybody. She loves to be around people and is content sleeping at your feet while watching TV or working on the computer. She is also great with other dogs and would be a good addition to a family.
Carly was rescued from a neglectful situation, where several dogs were left outside during the winter, chained up with no food, water, or shelter. After a few weeks in her new foster home, where she was being treated for mange and malnutrition, Carly surprised us all with 6 puppies! Her puppies are all weaned and up for adoption now, and Carly is ready to find a home of her own!
Her first foster home says: "Carly bonded quickly with our resident dog and although curious with our cats, showed no aggression towards them. She hasn't chewed anything she's not supposed to, but does enjoy chomping on a rawhide. Only one 'accident' in the house after several weeks, so we know she is housebroken. Even in this winter's cold weather she is a good walker and not a puller. She has a leisurely kind of attitude, and although her ears perk up at the sound of a squeak toy she's too polite to take it from you."
Her second foster home, who took care of Carly and her puppies, adds: "Carly is a great dog-- It took her literally "no time" to make herself at home when she moved to our house. She is very people-oriented and LOVES attention. She has never growled, although she is protective of the puppies. Once the kids sit, she is fine if the puppies are with them. Carly does "ask" to go out by scratching at the back door, or rings the bells. She will chase a ball, but hasn't brought it back yet. She has truly forgotten her past neglect and is ready to move forward :) "
Carly's estimated date of birth is 1/15/12 and her adoption fee of $300 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, rabies and bordatella vaccinations, microchip, deworming and spay.
