A purebred Dachshund with a face like hers, a coat like hers and soft brown eyes like hers will melt your heart!! And a story like hers is one of resilience: Suzy was dumped at a high kill shelter - - a backyard breeder's "release" because she wouldn't breed with the males (smart girl!!). Thankfully she was pulled into rescue and now she is living at a foster home and not looking back! Suzy is a gentle love bug who wags her tail at everyone she meets. She loves going for walks, but make sure you build in some extra time because you're bound to get stopped everywhere you go by people wanting to say hello to such a happy girl! She is great with the school-aged children in the foster home, she loves to play with the Maltese who lives there and is happy to let the cat rule the house. She might be small at just nearly 15 pounds, but she's got a big personality with lots of love to give - - she just needs that family to give it to!! Suzy is about 3 years old and she is a very healthy girl.
