Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ambrosia is a beautiful girl with a sweet & gentle face. She is a super affectionate, people-loving girl and only needs a little bit of patience and understanding when encountering new people and new places. Ambrosia loves to be petted and to have her face & behind the ears rubbed.
Ambrosia has a natural tendency to be a little hesitant of the unknown and protect her world through vocal warnings. And she has been through so many changes... With each change to a new place that shows her patience, affection, and consistency, she gets more and more comfortable and relaxed. Once she learns that her space and worries are respected, she quickly gives her trust and affection.
She will alert to the presence of strangers, and sometimes warms up slower with certain men, but is very loving when she is comfortable. Inside her circle, she is affectionate and enjoys time with her people. Because of her natural reserve and hesitancy, she does best with mellow, easy-going, accepting dogs that aren't too forward themselves. With the calm, controlled introductions she is very good with other dogs that mesh with her personality.
Ambrosia has lived in a foster home with cats and did fine.
Ambrosia may not do well with the ever changing routine of some households whether it be kids' activities or social entertaining. But, she would benefit greatly from regular, relatively exerting exercise with a relaxed brushing and snuggle time to top it off.
