Sir Charles's Story...
Sir Charles was not feeling to royale for a while. In fact, when he came into the shelter he had a bit of a rough time. His hair was completely matted down, he had a flea colony between his eyes, and nails that curled under his paws. However, some very special individuals helped groomed him and we got him to the vet. The vet gave him some medications and now he is starting to do a whole lot better. He still likes to lay around if given the opportunity but has a lot more energy than before. He is now looking for that forever home that he can call his own. His only request: never to look as horrible as before--after all royalty must maintain a certain image.

Roughly 5-7 years old
Weight: 9.6 lbs

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sir Charles, a Sidney Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Sidney, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Sidney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sidney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sidney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sidney paves the way for another one to be saved.
