Patches's Story...
I hear your heart has sprung a leak…how ‘bout a lil puppy love to Patch it up? Or how about a whole lotta puppy love! Patches here, and I am sure to heal up any lonely heart. I am all love, all fun, all the time! At just 11 months old I am still just a puppy, so get ready for 50 pounds of puppy kisses! I love to run and play and wrestle with other dogs and I just adore children—just remember I am big puppy and don’t always understand my size and strength. I do have a touch of training and I know a few basic commands, I just need you to remind me now and again. I’m crate trained, and rumor has it I am housebroken, too. Let’s make a deal: I’ll Patch up that lonely heart of yours and you’ll Patch up mine!
11 months old-50lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes: neuter, microchip, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
