Foster Family Observations:
If you are looking for a loyal dog, then James is your guy! He can be a little timid at first, but once he knows you he will stick by your side. He can be outside off leash and comes when called! James LOVES toys. All toys – balls, ropes, nylabones, squeaky toys – you name it, and he’ll play with it. He loves to run – James would ideally like a fenced in yard where he could run OR an active person or family that can take him for a good run/walk daily. This guy’s tail is always wagging – he genuinely is loving life. He’s extremely respectful of other dogs, and will take queues from them on how playful he should be. If you’ll let him, James would love to snuggle under the covers with you. James ideal home would be one that is excited to play with him and as equally excited to cuddle with him. He wouldn’t even mind if there was another 4-legged playmate, but if not, that’s ok too – he’ll just keep wagging his tail and shower you with all his affections!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

James, a Oak Creek Dachshund/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Oak Creek, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle dog from a breeder in Oak Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
