Shelly's Story...
Name: Shelly
Breed: Doxie/Sheltie (?) mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Female

Shelly is a young adult female Doxie/Sheltie (?) mix, full grown at about 10-15 pounds and just a sweet, slightly overwhelmed affectionate girl. She appears to be house trained, although her foster is really good, and is crated for the workday. She came into animal control with her babies, which have been adopted except for one. Shelly is good with cats and other dogs, is curious and interested with kids but has not lived with young kids that we know of. Please email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
