My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. My name is Chachi. I'm a small blond Chihuahua or Terrier mix weighing in at at just under 6 pounds, and I'm about 3 or 4 years old. I may be mini in size, but I'm maxi in personality. I'm a friendly fellow with an outgoing demeanor.

I'm basically a good little dog. My foster mom says so, and she outta know! My foster dad likes to call me ChooChoo and at first I wasn't really liking it, but now I think it's kinda cute having a big guy saying "ChooChoo, ChooChoo"! I live at "Our House" with the other resident dogs. A couple of them are much bigger, but that doesn't bother me - I'm a tough little bundle! The resident cat, well, she just thinks she's the queen cat so I really don't bother with her.

I like the attention I get in my foster home, but there are a couple of things that I would like to change though. My foster mom also takes in dogs while people go on vacation and has all these other dogs coming and going, and frankly, some of them are really annoying! I try to keep them in line but it's a big job and a lot of weight on my little shoulders. Alone I would be great, or one or two siblings is fine too, but please, not a whole houseful:)

Be aware that I will protect my family until I am certain things are OK or you tell me it's OK. And I love to snuggle. Yeah, it's a sissy word for a strapping dude like myself, but I honestly love to snuggle. So much so that I'm not so keen on being bothered to have to get up. Yeah, I will - but I'm not happy about it. I like to be held, but only very gently, and I don't like to be touched in certain ways, so I'm thinking that me and a house with children probably won't mix very well.

If you think I might be the right guy to join your family give the nice people at Adopt A Pet a jingle and come see me. I like company!

Chachi's adoption fee of $300 includes: vet exam, heartworm test, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm preventative, dental cleaning and neuter.
