My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whiskey had a family for 6 years and had a good life for the first 3-4 years, but after his adopter got babies, he has been severely neglected for the last 2-3 years. When Whiskey first came to us, he was marking inside the house, his tail was tucked in and his teeth were in terrible shape. But since he's been with his current fosters, he has never marked inside the house even once, and his tail is happily wagging. After $2,000 in dental surgeries Forte provided, now his breath is good, his gums are healthy pink and he eats well.

Whiskey loves being petted and brushed and going for runs. Once he trusts you, he’s eager to show his cuddly, lovable side and his huge personality. Whiskey is initially hesitant with strangers, especially men, but warms up quickly by just being patient with him and giving him some TLC. He's good with small children and smaller dogs as long as they’re neutered and not puppies.

Whiskey is smart, loving and loyal, and would make a great companion for any family looking for a medium-sized, soft-coated canine pal.
