Chewy's Story...
"Hello, friends! My name is Chewy, and like my namesake, Chewbacca, I'm a handsome and loyal creature. I'm a Lhasa Apso mix who's just a year-and-a-half, and I'm sure to become your best buddy and devoted companion. I'm playful , loving, and spirited, and I promise to bring joy into your heart. Just look at me! My warm, expressive eyes say it all. I get along great with other dogs, and I'd be a wonderful pet in a family with older kids. I'm quite intelligent and obedient, and I know how to sit on command. The shelter staff is fairly certain that I've been house trained, but I'll probably need a refresher course once I get to my new home. Won't you come visit me and see for yourself what a handsome and personable boy I am? I think you'll be impressed, then we can go out to the play yard and get better acquainted. I sure hope to find a new, loving home soon. Please stop by the El Cajon Animal Shelter, and maybe you can make my hopes and dreams come true. Love, Chewy" Kennel #59

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy, a El Cajon Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
