My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello friends my name is Jasmine and I am a 3-4 year old girl who is looking for my forever home. My story begins when I showed up at a high-kill shelter as a stray. I was used to living in a home with my family and as you could imagine I was a wreck in the kennel and became very stressed with all the strange noises and barking dogs. Needless to say, I was not doing well. The shelter sent out an urgent plea and it was answered. I was pulled by Lucky Lab and made my journey to my foster home.
My foster parents gave me a nice crate with a comfy bed and blankets and they introduced me to their two recused Labs and we became friends. I was so happy to be in a home again, you can’t even imagine. Here is what my foster parents have to say about me.
“Jasmine is a pretty Labbie girl weighing 91 lbs. She is a big girl with long legs and a beautiful black coat. She knows her commands (sit, down, stay, shake), corrects easily and takes treats very nicely. Jasmine is house and crate trained and knows how to navigate stairs. She sleeps out at night in our bedroom on a dog bed and does great. She does become a bit stressed when we leave for the day but quickly calms down and naps. Jasmine does bark but is starting to understand that when we leave, we will be back and are not abandoning her. It takes her a few days to adjust to her new environment and your routine.”
“She gets along with our two male Labs but can be a bit bossy. She would do best in a home with male dogs, submissive females or as an only dog that can be spoiled with all of your attention. Jasmine is very people orientated and is friendly with everyone she meets.”
“Jasmine loves to go for walks but is very strong so will need a gentle walker or a prong collar. We are making progress on her leash manners but it will take time for to become a perfect walker. Jasmine is an all-round sweet girl who is affectionate, has great house manners, loves car rides, is smart and does wonderfully with kids. We recommend kids 8+ only due to her not knowing how big she is. We have seen no aggression with food or toys and she’s very tolerant.”
I am spayed, up-to-date on vacations including rabies, heartworm negative and on preventative and micro-chipped. I’m ready to join your family and enjoy all the summer fun!!
