Valentino's Info...

Valentino's Story...
Valentino is a 3 year old purebred Italian Greyhound. Recently, Friendship APL removed 15 Italian Greyhounds from the home of a couple no longer able to provide proper care for them. They range in age from 4 months to 10 years. These dogs can be difficult to train and may be difficult for first time dog owners. Our advice is to visit http://www.italian-greyhound.net/isthisbreed.htm before committing to one of these sweet dogs.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Valentino, a Elyria Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
