Peasant's Story...
Hi, my name is Peasant, a Collie mix, and as you can see I am an extremely happy dog. I am a 10 month old neutered male and up to date on my shots. I get along with other dogs and love to go exploring with my humans. I really enjoy playing in water when we go exploring. I do not wander far from my people and I will come when you call.
I know how to "sit" and I am learning other commands. I am already crate trained. If there is a thunderstorm, I will be right by your side to protect you. My foster mom is currently teaching me about manners and we are working on house training. I love when humans give me attention.
Please call 540-745-7207 or email floydhumane4@hotmail.com for more information about me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peasant, a Floyd Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Floyd, or seeking a Collie puppy from a breeder in Floyd.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Floyd already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Floyd breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Floyd paves the way for another one to be saved.
